Friends of Camp Fife

Friends of Camp Fife was founded in 2019 and formally recognized in June of 2021 as a Washington State nonprofit corporation for advancing the purposes and interests of the scouting movement in Washington by operating camps and outdoor programs in cooperation with other charitable and educational organizations. A core aspect of this is the preservation of the historic 64-acre Camp Fife property at Goose Prairie.

The Camp Fife property can serve up to 450 campers with its state-of-the-art dining hall and beautifully wooded group campsites, as well as a variety of historic cabins and lodges.

Camp Fife features a heated pool, archery and shooting ranges, a renowned equestrian program, and a blacksmithing forge. At nearby Bumping Lake, campers have access to the camp’s small fleet of canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and row boats.

Our efforts will help stabilize scouting programs throughout the region for thousands of youths. It will also ensure the 101-year-old camp continues to serve youth within other nonprofit organizations throughout the Yakima Valley and beyond for generations to come.
